Exploring opportunities for coordinated responses to intimate partner violence and child maltreatment in low and middle income countries: a scoping review

Intimate partner violence and child maltreatment are common forms of violence with many overlapping risk factors and outcomes. In order to identify opportunities for greater collaboration between programs addressing intimate partner violence and child maltreatment, researchers conducted a literature review of programs in low and middle-income countries that addressed one form of violence but also reported outcomes for the other. This scoping review focuses on six primary prevention programs that address the intersection, including the REAL Fathers Initiative. All but one of the interventions studied were delivered within parenting programs.
